The Royal Castle of Blois presents a panorama of the art and history of the castles of the Loire. It brings together around the same courtyard a panorama of French architecture from the Middle Ages to the classical period. It is the favorite residence of the kings of France in the Renaissance, and evokes, by its diversity of styles, the destiny of 7 kings and 10 queens of France.
The Royal Castle of Blois is rich in more than 35,000 pieces of furniture, objects, paints and collections.
You will discover the royal apartments but also the Museum of Fine Arts and many other places that have marked the history of the castle.
You will discover the history and the architecture of the castle with a general presentation in the courtyard followed by a visit of the royal apartments.
